SY: Displacement

NaPoWriMo Day 22 Prompt taken from Spill The Ink Poetry Lab by If Walls Could Talk KL "Write about a journey. It could be internal or external, real or imagined" #spilltheink #murukumurmurations #2017inkedwallsday22 #2017inkedwallsprompt22 #NaPoWriMo2017 #NaPoWriMo #NPWM At this very moment My eyelids descend My mind starts to flow Into the deep my heart descends, Making sure not to resist the flow, My memories lapse for a moment. My soul streams with the flow, Engaged in the present moment, Ready to slingshot out of the descend. A new moment arises, a new flow from a descend to ascension. - Swit Marie 1826H, 26th April 2017 Astro HQ

JN: Change

NaPoWriMo Challenge Prompt Week 7: Our prompt for Week Seven comes to us from Gloria Gonsalves, who challenges us  all to write a tritina. The tritina is a shorter cousin to the sestina, involving three, three-line  stanzas, and a final concluding line. Three “end words” are used to conclude the lines of each  stanza, in a set pattern of ABC, CAB, BCA, and all three end words appear together in the  final line. The only thing constant in life is change, Nothing in life is ever the same, Not even if you wanted it to. Don't try and beg it to, Nothing is more stubborn than change, It just refuses to stay the same. Sometimes we need the change, As a reminder that things are never the same, so do the things we've always wanted to. When you feel things aren't the same, be the change you want to see and make the best out of it.  - JN 5.24pm, 5/7/2016 (Wednesday) Home, Kelana Jaya

SB: It's The Little Things

NaPoWriMo Challenge Prompt Week 7: Our prompt for Week Seven comes to us from Gloria Gonsalves, who challenges us  all to write a tritina. The tritina is a shorter cousin to the sestina, involving three, three-line  stanzas, and a final concluding line. Three “end words” are used to conclude the lines of each  stanza, in a set pattern of ABC, CAB, BCA, and all three end words appear together in the  final line. It is the little things, That catch you unaware, And make you smile. This number 3 smile, Because of these small things, To which before I was unaware. Completely unaware, How much I could smile, Over little things. I guess I was unaware that it is the little things that will incite the biggest smile. - SB 10.29am, 5th July 2016 Ghetto HQ

SY: Doors To My Heart-Room

NaPoWriMo Challenge Prompt Week 7: Our prompt for Week Seven comes to us from Gloria Gonsalves, who challenges us  all to write atritina. The tritina is a shorter cousin to the sestina, involving three, three-line  stanzas, and a final concluding line. Three “end words” are used to conclude the lines of each  stanza, in a set pattern of ABC, CAB, BCA, and all three end words appear together in the  final line. Every hoarder's dream and nightmare are found in their store room. This piece is based on 'My Store Room' from 'The Surrogate Friend' album by Francis Wolf The door was closed, Behind trinkets and memories, What I kept, I thought I needed. My storeroom of memories, A reminder of all I had wanted and needed, Hills of boxes that should be kept closed. Occasionally I took what I needed, Relived those days with my eyes closed, Cherish sweet timeless memories, We all have storerooms of open and closed memories. - SY 03:55H 6th M...

Me, You, Poetry.

Brushing up on my tritina writing so I decided to write about me, you and poetry. The hopeless romantic is back (sort of, kind of, maybe)! I could write all the love stories about you, But that wouldn't depict what you mean to me, Not even if I wrote you in my poetry. You make me as happy as really jiwang poetry, Like the ones I read to you, You complete me. You don't know how happy you make me, Maybe one day I'd tell you with my poetry, Until then I'll just have to show you. Me and you, we're as perfect as perfectly rhymed poetry.  - JN 6.25pm, 5/5/2016 (Thursday) Home, Kelana Jaya

Rhythm and Blues, Me and You.

The three things I cannot get of my mind right now... Maybe you could call it borderline addictive. Day 24 for NaPoWriMo has got me trying to write a Tritina. A familiar melody from the sultry Blues, Fills the air as my toes tap to the rhythm, And all I want is a dance with you. I scan the floor looking for you, Hoping to indulge in this night of Blues, Let go and pulse to your rhythm. Here you come strutting to the rhythm, Pulling me close in this dance with you, Sway me side to side to the smooth, soulful Blues. That's what you do to me with the rhythm and Blues. -SY 00:10H 8th April 2016 TMS HQ

Here's To You, Weirdos

The ones who are different are shunned. People refuse to be friends with them because they're different. Differences should be celebrated.  Here's to the ones who are called weird, The ones who are wired differently, Never ever change. They will try to get you to change, Because they think it's wrong to be weird, But its actually a beautiful thing to be able to think differently.     Celebrate the fact that people label you weird, So what if you think differently? Don't ever change. I am wired differently, and like you, I have been labelled weird and called names but I will never change.  - JN 1.45pm, 9/4/2016 (Saturday) Home, Kelana Jaya
