Connection

In West Coast Swing, connection is one of the key concepts of making or breaking the dance. We tend to lose it when we rush and try our best to find it when our space is running out.

Connection.
A word so easily defined and understood but difficult to explain.
A bond of two separate entities joined at a point that creates a bridge for information to be transferred.
A beginning for new developments and possibilities that leads to endless amounts of potential because one foundation is built upon another.
A pathway for energy to flow, for transformation to occur between different forms, where modifications and implementations can transpire because there is a medium for it to exist.
A channel for conversation to interchange between individuals, cultures, generations and worlds, links in ways best left to the imagination, beyond thoughts, chance and limitations, stretching through multiple facets of humanity.
A world that is not quiet, where one person is not the only person and the universe is eternally expanding because one thing leads to another and before one realises, there is existence, there is discovery, there is everyone's story exchanged for their touch or time.
A moment that fits perfectly or carefully constructed; that isn't something quantifiable or predictable but it is an experience that is remembered as easily as it is forgotten, where imprints are made or un-pleasantries as a result of random commentaries, formed by a circle of connection.

2020

I  wrote this on the flight travelling back to Malaysia in 2020, leaving Australia after what would have been the last time I see the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I was observing the people around me, it was an 8 hour flight with a lot of turbulence, who would have know that 2020 would be that kind of year as well. It is funny how things tell you of what will come in its own little ways. Siren Serenade

This tune came to me while I was driving earlier this year and I didn't really progress much with the lyrics and completed the first draft this month. Yay #newshit! This piece revolved around the long distance relationship I was in, where I would feel like I was lost at sea in dealing with the undercurrents and waves of security.
