Prompts from Makhluk Seni for WELP, a movement to 'weaponise' love in all forms of expression. Prompts were released throughout the month of February for writers to submit any short form of writing.

 This was during the time a dear friend of mine physically left me and we had to part ways. Things have become very different now since that departure. I wished things didn't turn out the way it did in the past few month but people change. It isn't just them, I to have changed because of the collective circumstances.

Prompt 17: How many steps for me...

Love takes time, love takes effort, love is a long arduous journey that begins with the first step ⠀

How many steps are you willing to take for the things that you love? ♥️


 I have walked far along enough to be able to say goodbye
We stopped, wandered into a tangent
through each others irides
journeyed into each others stories.


Flakes of gold, aged jade and Oceania blue
It carries, weight, anguish and wisdom
With one last hug that spoke into my heart
all the things we would never speak out of our mouths.

Anchored into my memories deep as the Marina's trench.

2020

I  wrote this on the flight travelling back to Malaysia in 2020, leaving Australia after what would have been the last time I see the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I was observing the people around me, it was an 8 hour flight with a lot of turbulence, who would have know that 2020 would be that kind of year as well. It is funny how things tell you of what will come in its own little ways. This Is Malaysia

Recently Swit Marie has gotten more active on the HitRECord platform and started working on new material and collaborations. This was definitely the highlight of 2020 for her years of writing in the past few years. Reaching an international audience and being part of a community of creatives through this project involving over 180 contributors.
