NaPoWriMo Challenge Prompt Week 13
"The number 13 is often considered unlucky, so today I’d like to challenge you to beat the bad luck away with a poem inspired by fortune cookies. You could write a poem made up entirely of statements that predict the future (“You will meet a handsome stranger”), aphoristic statements (“The secret to getting ahead is getting started)” or just silly questions (“How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges?”) Or you could use a phrase you’ve actually received in a real fortune cookie as a title or first line. However you proceed, I hope you will feel fortunate in the results (do you get it? Do you get it? Rimshot, please)."

For this challenge I used quotes for the Lord Of The stings franchise instead of lines from  Fortune cookie for well wished to Paula And Kelvin.

From the day we started walking,
From the day we started talking,
Often we have wondered:
"I am looking for someone
to share an adventure that I am arranging
and it's very difficult to find anyone."

As we grew older and traveled on our trails,
Some paths intertwine and in due time combined
Along those paths we travel together,
We start to think about forever.

When he looks at her, his heart's thoughts spill over,
"I would rather share one lifetime with you
rather than face all the ages of this world alone."
Through the years of courtship and discovering,
She wonders if it is this man,
One so dashing and encouraging,
Would he be the one she shares her adventures with?

And then her heart changed,
Or at least she understood it;
And the winter passed,
And the sun shine upon her.

And he took her in his arms and kissed her under the sunlit sky,
and he cared not that they stood high upon the walls in the sight of many.

Behold, today is that day,
One ring to bind these two,
A love unconditional and true
Congratulations Paula and Kelvin,
The adventure now begins!

2020

I  wrote this on the flight travelling back to Malaysia in 2020, leaving Australia after what would have been the last time I see the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I was observing the people around me, it was an 8 hour flight with a lot of turbulence, who would have know that 2020 would be that kind of year as well. It is funny how things tell you of what will come in its own little ways. This Is Malaysia

Recently Swit Marie has gotten more active on the HitRECord platform and started working on new material and collaborations. This was definitely the highlight of 2020 for her years of writing in the past few years. Reaching an international audience and being part of a community of creatives through this project involving over 180 contributors. The piece that was submitted for the This Is Malaysia video by HitRECord was derived from Dragon Tail . This Is Malaysia  final script remixed by Matt Conley from 8 contributors.
