Maybe I will let it be...

White or blue
One line or two
It really isn't up to you.

All you want is a son
My bearing hips
Flowering canals
I will say when I am done.

I am clothed by your pride
Your strength wraps my wrist
My innocence
replaced by your essence
Where I lie is your bliss.

My loss is your gain
Your pleasure is my pain.

I am bare
As I am green
You are blue
Under it all,
You have not a clue.

NaPoWriMo Prompt Challenge Week 10: "Today’s prompt comes to us from Lillian Hallberg. She challenges us to write a “book spine” poem. This involves taking a look at your bookshelves, and writing down titles in order (or rearranging the titles) to create a poem. Some fun images of book spine poems can be found here. 2020

I  wrote this on the flight travelling back to Malaysia in 2020, leaving Australia after what would have been the last time I see the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I was observing the people around me, it was an 8 hour flight with a lot of turbulence, who would have know that 2020 would be that kind of year as well. It is funny how things tell you of what will come in its own little ways.
