Of Sweat Spas and Life

The Sisterhood has been having a long tiresome week and been wanting to go for a soothing much needed 'hot tile/sweat spa' session.

I really need to go to the sweat spa,
My back is giving me hell,
Would be so nice to have some 'ocha',
Whilst feeling rested and well.

My back is giving me hell too,
I wish one day this sweat spa trip would actually come true,
We tried to go so many times,
But the plan fails every time.

Steady on ladies it'll happen for us,
Even if we have to make a really big fuss,
I don't care, we're going to sweat spa soon,
Even if we have to bring down the moon.

To bask in a heated room,
Close my eyes and breath deeply,
Look at the big picture instead of in zoom,
Open up my mind and exhale gently.

It will be nice to just sit back and relax,
While lying on heated tiles that does wonders for our backs,
Yes, soon we shall do what is deemed impossible,
And overcome every obstacle.

Regardless of the weather,
The Sisterhood will go there together,
Let the stars and planets align,
So we can all find peace of mind.

Peace of mind & release from this pain,
From going to sweat spa we have so much to gain,
May the Sisterhood emerge triumphant at the end of it all,
When all this work is over we can throw a ball!

SB is a conflicted soul of sorts, who is mad enough to go chase after what she really loves as opposed to conform to society and her mother's idea of a successful person. She prays she makes it in life, because she will not be able to tolerate the nagging that would follow if she doesn't. Her inspiration comes from everything around her, as well as made up situations in her head. Good luck distinguishing between the two. 

SY is a 'Jacqueline of all trades' who loves wearing plaids.
She doesn't believe in things that fade and fulfills the promises that she made.
She seeks the hearts of the troubled, to be a listener in times when things are doubled.
She's the kind who stands in the gap, who will only call it quits when it's a wrap.

JN is the one who doesn't take chances, but she's working on that. She's powering through life, one day at a time. Even with all that life throws her, you'll always see her with a smile. She's a hopeless romantic, hopeless beyond repair. You may say she's a dreamer, but she's got her feet on the ground.

2020

I  wrote this on the flight travelling back to Malaysia in 2020, leaving Australia after what would have been the last time I see the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I was observing the people around me, it was an 8 hour flight with a lot of turbulence, who would have know that 2020 would be that kind of year as well. It is funny how things tell you of what will come in its own little ways. This Is Malaysia

Recently Swit Marie has gotten more active on the HitRECord platform and started working on new material and collaborations. This was definitely the highlight of 2020 for her years of writing in the past few years. Reaching an international audience and being part of a community of creatives through this project involving over 180 contributors.
