Emerge

This piece is written for those who will be going for HSG's EMERGE camp that started today. Take my word for it, it will be the life changing experience you need go emerge from where you are to glory from glory.

Emerge:
1. To move out from something and become visible.
2. To become apparent prominent.
3. To recover or survive a difficult situation.

Are we of no value?
Uncensored, uncultured,
Rude and crude,
No respect for the words of the pew.

Are we a people of empty space,
Differentiation of race,
Nothing deeper than the surface.
Taking things at our own pace.

The fact is, you are running a race,
Just run at your own pace,
You will emerge champions,
Fighting the good fight of faith.

Are we... a group that walks aimlessly in life?
Feeling like we are just running away,
Not knowing the way we should go,
So undecided, unable to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

They say... We are so tempered with the way we feel,
Just going with the flow,
Conformed to the definitions of the masses of misdirection
Are we those who do anything for empty satisfaction.

People say nobody knows our face,
They hear only the clickings of our fingers’ pace,
All we see are what shows when their screen glows,
Of pointless statuses, rants, re-tweets and photos.

Submerge in His presence,
Soak up His essence,
Emerge from the depths of the living waters,
Refreshed, recharged and transformed to change matters.

We emerge from the bushes called the ‘comfort zone’,
To use the God given talents that's uniquely our own,
All are equipped, all are inspired,
To go for the calling that God had desired.

Will you stand out in the crowd of nothingness,
Emerge from the apathies of life’s darkness,
Throw away the lamp shade and let His light shine brighter,
Because we are world changer, difference maker, joy giver.

Be the mouthpiece of the power that lives within us,
Boldly declaring the truth of God's promises that are true.
We are a powerful generation,
With endless methods of communication.

So.. do you believe this is you?
The ones to give glory to The One that is true.
Will you be the hands that will reach out.
To touch the lives with the same love that God has poured out.

Help people build homes and dreams,
Build up people beam by beam,
All you need is to come and experience.
Partake, impart and gain influence.

2020

I  wrote this on the flight travelling back to Malaysia in 2020, leaving Australia after what would have been the last time I see the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I was observing the people around me, it was an 8 hour flight with a lot of turbulence, who would have know that 2020 would be that kind of year as well. It is funny how things tell you of what will come in its own little ways. This Is Malaysia

Recently Swit Marie has gotten more active on the HitRECord platform and started working on new material and collaborations. This was definitely the highlight of 2020 for her years of writing in the past few years. Reaching an international audience and being part of a community of creatives through this project involving over 180 contributors.
